Statistician
We are looking for a consulting statistician to join our small, friendly and enthusiastic team. There's the opportunity to work on ecological, environmental impact assessments, spatial and demographic projects.
This is initially a 24month, maternity leave replacement. Depending on performance and business outlook, it may be renewed or rolled into an ongoing contract after that time.
We will consider 4 or 5 day availability.
We are a mix of statisticians, mathematicians, developers and data wranglers. We are all R programmers (among other stats and programming skills). We need more hands on deck to deliver high quality statistical analyses and to help guide our clients through their data and business questions.
If you like the sound of
Statistical survey sampling and weighting
Survival analysis
Generalised linear modelling for inference and prediction
Build synthetic populations and monte-carlo simulations
Doing all the above in a reproducible way in R
you should take a closer look at the description
Please note:
We think this is an early to mid career role with a mix of project administration and statistical work. You might be suited to some of the tasks in the linked position description, or all. We are happy to hear from you regardless. It is a statistical role, more than a general data analysis role - you will require some formal training/experience in statistical theory (or other transferable maths training).
We will discuss salary with the interviewees, and have some scope to adjust based on your experience level.
